The booze cruise days are over....

We've never been a great fan of the high street supermarket's offering of Rosé wines - one of the reasons Rose-wine.com exists. However, it seems the long-running trend to take a big estate car to France and buy a lot of wine is diminishing. For years, it was popular to drive to French wine hypermarkets in Calais to fill the boot with inexpensive wine. Tesco, Sainsbury's and Oddbins all had a large presence there. But with a stack 'em high, sell it cheap approach, wine was being commoditised and sold cheaper than cola. Inevitably, quality suffered from this approach.

But, as this report from the BBC shows, there's no longer the great demand for this there once was. Between there being a strong Euro and better prices and a better choice here in the UK, many are buying our wine from the UK, getting a good deal and being presented with a better range. And, if it's rosé wine you're after, Rose-Wine.com is sure to deliver. We always promise the best hand-selected rosé wines you can find and a great deal on every case you buy! No need to drive to Dover to get your rosé when we can bring the best to you!

Hi Julian,  I'd love to help, but our stock is limited to what we show on this site.  Magnums are a great way to enjoy wines though and increasingly popular.  It is something we will be looking at in future. Regards,
Bill
