A good Rosé colour this is an excellent example of this very popular style. The fruit, beautifully ripened by Californian sunshine, comes from the Central Valley south of San Francisco. The 2009 vintage lives up to the high expectations of the winemakers who applied a recently introduced method of re-circulating the juice during fermentation to bring out wonderful subtle aromas in the wine.
Tasting Notes
Medium to sweet, smooth and light bodied with vibrant flavours of fresh strawberries, a hint of watermelon and a little spiciness. A perfect wine to serve with lighter foods such as green salads tossed in a tangy vinaigrette or with grilled seafood. A good party wine with very wide appeal and with only 9.5% abv. Nice!
