Zinfandel lends itself to making a good sparkling wine and it is in safe hands with Beringer. Not only is it a most enjoyable wine, but it is very well presented with a look that is sophisticated and modern. It is a great, relatively inexpensive, answer for special occasions and celebrations. The colour looks superb when bottles are displayed at receptions, or other events and the medium style suits the majority of tastes. A stylish and very good quality wine from one of the longest established Californian vineyards.
Tasting Notes
Medium. The first impression is how good it looks in the glass as it is poured with a lively mousse immediately apparent. The aroma is delicately floral and the taste reminiscent of fresh strawberry fruit with some citrus notes and pleasant acidity. There is a long and delicious finish. It is ideal as an aperitif, but can also accompany many different light starter courses and salads.
