Terms & Conditions of Business
The following Terms & Conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. Your placing an order with us indicates acceptance of our Terms & Conditions.
Rose Wine Ltd Trading as Rose-wine.com hereafter referred to as Rose-wine.com, aims to provide good products and service and to meet your requirements at all times. If we ever disappoint you please let us know and we will try to put it right. We operate in accord with the BII Code of Professional Conduct.
You must be aged 18 or over to purchase goods from Rose-wine.com and must also ensure that anyone taking delivery of your order is aged 18 or over. Our contract with you is on this basis only as it is illegal for anyone under 18 to purchase or take delivery of alcohol. Very serious penalties apply. We also take the opportunity to make clear that alcohol can be hazardous to health and should be consumed in moderation.
Rose-wine.com is an online business and orders can be placed through the website. Wine is delivered to addresses within the UK only. We may offer an export service in future - please enquire should this be of interest.
Our minimum order varies depending on the goods and their value. Any minimum order is shown on our website.
Orders are deemed to be accepted once checked and processed by ourselves.
We reserve the right to change our prices. Wine prices are often affected by currency exchange rates, excise duty changes and transport costs in addition to normal commercial considerations. Prices will be kept up to date on our website.
All our prices are VAT inclusive. Our online payment process generates a VAT receipt for you.
Availability & Vintages
Wine is a product often affected by changes in availability. Our stock is integrated with our website such as to prevent it offering products which are out of stock. Sometimes, we may offer an advance ordering capability, but this will be clearly indicated. Should we make any errors regarding pricing we will contact you for authorisation to proceed before further processing your order. Occasionally, we may run out of a particular vintage and reserve the right to substitute the next vintage which will be of equal value.
Rose-wine.com is a UK based, VAT registered, business operating throughout the UK. Credit card payment is through a secure site using WorldPay and RBS Streamline. Our bankers are Royal Bank of Scotland. Our website uses sophisticated encryption and secure technologies.
To ensure that your credit, debit or charge card is not being used without your consent, we will validate name, address and other personal information supplied during the order process against appropriate third party databases and reputable credit reference agencies. By accepting these terms and conditions you consent to such checks being made. All information provided by you will be treated securely and in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
Retention of Ownership
All goods remain the property of Rose-wine.com until payment is received in full.
Rose-wine.com conforms to the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations, the Data Protection Act, and The Trade Descriptions Act. Transactions, unless otherwise indicated, will be processed in Sterling.
Any information we hold will be kept confidential. We do validate information provided and other personal information against appropriate third party databases and reputable credit reference agencies who may keep a record of that information. Other government regulations relating to the sale of alcohol can involve checks related to age verification etc. By accepting these Terms & Conditions you consent to such checks being made.
Whilst every effort is made to ensure all information contained on the website and other publications is correct, Rose-wine.com and its associates accept no responsibility for opinions expressed or the accuracy and/or currency of the information provided. Whilst taking great care, we do not accept responsibility for the content of any websites linked to our own.
We do not accept any contingent liabilities.
Standard Delivery is charged at £6.95 including VAT except where a surcharge is applied to certain outlying areas. Delivery generally takes around three working days (e.g. goods ordered on a Monday will likely be delivered on Wednesday). The outlying areas are Northern Ireland, Highlands and Islands, the Isle of Man, the Isle of Wight and the Scilly Isles where some deliveries may take longer and are subject to a surcharge. Should standard delivery be unsuitable please see any (charged) delivery options which may be offered on our website. In event of any stock shortfall or other circumstances leading to a delay in delivery beyond 5 working days we will notify you with a delivery forecast and provide the option to cancel.
Delivery, Other Products
Delivery will normally be two to three days. Any charges will be shown.
Whilst we will make every effort to deliver your goods promptly we do not accept any liability for delays outwith our control.
Customer Collection from our Premises
We are sorry we cannot offer a customer collection service.
Receipt of Goods
If there is any doubt about the condition of a shipment it should be signed for as “unexamined”. Please notify us of any shortages or breakages within three days of receipt. Bear in mind that multiple case orders may become separated, but please do not delay reporting any missing beyond three days as otherwise we are unable to guarantee credit or replacements.
If you will not be at the delivery address and wish us to leave your order with a neighbour or in “a safe place” please let us know at point of order. We regret that neither we, or our carriers, can accept responsibility for any loss or damage once the shipment has been left in these circumstances as this is an uninsurable risk.
Cancellation, Returns and Refunds Policy
You may cancel your order for any reason up to 7 working days from the day after the date the wine or other goods are received, provided all of the bottles are returned to us unopened and intact and that other goods are unused. We will arrange collection using our carriers. A charge of £12 for collection will be deducted from the refund. Refunds can only be made to the credit or debit card originally charged.

Corked or Otherwise Unsatisfactory Wine
This will be refunded or replaced at our option after return to us. (In the case of corked wine, return of the cork is sufficient and we will include an allowance for your postage in our refund). We will be pleased to arrange uplift of any unsatisfactory wine at our cost. Occasionally, Rosé wines may exhibit some sugar like crystallisation (wine diamonds), which is completely natural and should not cause any difficulty.
These are warranted against manufacturing defect and will be replaced or refunded if faulty.
We are sorry that, in order to conform to various regulations, we can only accept returns from, or provide refunds for, gifts to the purchaser, not the recipient of the gift.
Special Offers, promotions etc
These may carry specific terms and conditions such as not applying to goods already on another promotion. Placing an order indicates your agreement to the offer terms. Voucher codes may have a stated expiry date and may be subject to confirmation of eligibility.
